direct support of the First Company

The mission of this organization is to preserve and enhance the historical significance of the First Company Governor's Horse Guards, which is part of the Connecticut Organized Militia and authorized by state statute. All financial contributions directly support the care and well-being of the horses as well as maintenance of tack, other equipment, and uniforms belonging to this all-volunteer troop.

Another successful golf tournament!
The "Friends of the First Company Governor's Horse
Guards" has made a generous donation to the National Guard's Family
Foundation. This is a result of the annual golf tournament held in
September. The 2008 tournament will be held Monday, September 8.
