Board Meeting Friends of the First Company Governorís Horse Guards, Inc

Present: Board Members: Richard Belliveau, Bill Cowell, Ken Nelson, James Murdock, Richard Morgenstern, Richard St. Pierre and Everett Kandarian. Non Board members- none


The Friends of the First Company Horse Guard held a meeting of the board of directors on 25 December 2006 to discuss financial, golf tournament and other issues prior to the end of the year.


Minutes - from meeting of 24 October 2006 approved and accepted. Motion made by Cowell and seconded by Murdock.


Financial Review: - Ken Nelson reviewed the financials records with the board (see attached report). This included the expenses and income for the golf tournament. Motion made to approve the treasurerís report by St. Pierre and second by Morgenstern. The board made a motion to provide the First Company Governorís Horse Guards $4,500 for breeches and $3,500 for general operating expenses before the year end. The motion was voted and accepted.


Richard Belliveau reviewed the proposed First Company Horse Guards budget with the board and expressed concern that at the current level of spending 1 GHG was heading for financial difficult in the next few years. He and Ken Nelson are planning to discuss this with the leadership of 1GHG and offer some suggestions to get spending in line with income.


Golf Committee Ė Discussed its plans for the 2nd annual 1st GHG golf tournament to be held Monday 11 September 2007. Cost per foursome $160 prior to August 1 and $175 thereafter. The increased cost will cover the $5.00 charge for closest to hole contest on the 4 par three holes. Still planning to sell raffle tickets and need to improve the putting contest. The full golf committee will be meeting in early January to start moving forward with the planning and communication for the upcoming tournament. Will need to send out letters to sponsors and golfers.
