Board Meeting Friends of the First Company Governor’s Horse Guards, Inc

Dated: 24 January 2006 Locations: Avon, CT Time: 18:00 Hrs.

Those in attendance: Board Members: Richard Bellievau, Bill Cowell, Ken Nelson, James Murdock, and Richard St. Pierre

Guests: Chris Miller, Steve Meltzer and Andrew Arsenault

The meeting was called to order at 18:10 hrs. by Richard Bellievau

Minutes: The minutes for the 17 January 2006 meeting were reviewed and accepted without correction.

Officers/Directors: Everett Kandarian was asked and has accepted to be a director on the board of Friends of the First Company Governor’s Horse. He was accepted without objections by the board. At the present time the board members are as follows:

President Richard Belliveau

Vice President Richard St. Pierre

Treasurer Kenneth Nelson

Secretary William Cowell

Directors Everett Kandarian, James Murdock, Richard Morgenstern

501-c-3 application: Ken Nelson reviewed the status of the 501-c-3 application with the board. Ken indicated he has discussed with others in his profession who have submitted similar applications and it was best to keep the application has simplified as possible. With this objective in mind, Ken will be working on the application and present it to the board at its next meeting on 7 February 2006.

WEB Page: Nothing new to report. Bree Berner is still working a WEB page for the organization.

Fundraisers: Nothing new to report. Golf Tournament still in progress and moving

forward for 9 September, 2006.

Checking Account: Ken Nelson to open.

New Business:

• A motion was made by Ken Nelson and seconded by Rich St. Pierre to have each board member seed the Friends of the 1 GHG with a loan of $500.00 each. This would give the board the needed funds ( $3,500) to start its planned funding raising activities. The motion was voted on and passed.

Next meeting. Will be held on Tuesday February 9. 2006 in Avon, Ct at 6:30 PM.
